The 2008 Annual Members Meeting will be held September 19, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cromwell. Keynote Speaker:. Otis Brawley, MD, Chief Medical Officer of the American Cancer Society, "Addressing Cancer Health Disparities and Improving Access to Care."

Please mark your calendars with the following scheduled 2008 BOD meeting dates. October 15, December 17. All meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m:  Meetings will be held every other month beginning in June.

Committees

The current Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan covers 2005-2008, so we must now create a 2009-2012 Plan. Standing Committees will meet over the next few months to report on progress toward achieving objectives and other accomplishments, and to revise or develop new goals, objectives and strategies for the new Plan. 

Everyone's input is important, and this is a great opportunity for members to become more involved in the comprehensive cancer control planning process.
