The 4th Annual Meeting of the Connecticut Cancer Partnership was held on September 11, 2007, at the FourPoints Sheraton in Meriden. The meeting, entitled “Comprehensive Cancer Control: The Power of Collaboration”, offered a unique forum for networking and exchange of ideas on comprehensive cancer control planning for Connecticut.
Keynote speaker was Tom Kean, executive director of C-Change, who spoke about the growth of state comprehensive cancer control initiatives, and the vital need for state partners to work together to ease the burden of cancer.
A panel session highlighted successful collaborative initiatives happening in the state, and breakout discussions stimulated ideas on how we can work together on Connecticut’s top cancer control priorities.
