Partnership Committees
During the planning phase of developing and implementing a comprehensive cancer
control plan for Connecticut, the Connecticut Cancer Partnership established
five primary committees, each representing one segment of the continuum of
cancer care. They are: Prevention; Early Detection; Treatment;
Survivorship; and
Palliative and Hospice Care.
Concomitantly, additional committees were created to address the major issues that cut across the entire continuum of care: Advocacy; Communications; Data, Surveillance, and Evaluation; and Health Disparities.
Committees related to the operations of the Partnership, itself, also were established: Governance; Membership; and Nominations.
As implementation proceeds, the role of committees will continue to be planning and oversight, while the responsibilities for carrying out implementation strategies will shift to Action Teams.
