Connecticut Coalition of End of Life
Nurse Educators (CCELNE)
Nearly 30 Connecticut nurses have been trained by the national End of Life
Nursing Education Consortium Project (ELNEC) to teach end of life care to
nursing students and practicing nurses.
The ELNEC trainers in Connecticut have agreed to work together to provide end of life educational programs for nurses in the state. In 2006, they will offer programs in four Connecticut locations:
- March 11, 2006, University of Connecticut Health Center, Farmington.
Communication, Loss, Grief, & Bereavement - May 20, 2006, Torrington
Palliative and End of Life Care - September 16, 2006, Fairfield University, Fairfield
Pain & Symptom Management - November 4, 2006, University of Connecticut, Storrs
Cultural & Ethical Issues Surrounding End of Life
